Today in reading we worked on becoming experts on our research topics. We practiced finding and using technical vocabulary within our books. Many of us are able to have conversations about our topics using these technical vocabulary words. We are sounding more and more like experts every day. Some of the topics in our room include: Wisconsin, Mummies, Rain Forests, Weather, Volcanos, Sea Turtles, and the Titanic. We have developed Table of Contents maps to organize our information pulling the most common topics from each of our books. We have found facts and have taken notes on post it notes which we organized into these categories.
